I had my very first appointment with Dr. Keogh today. I was referred here by Dr. MacLynn with Raleigh Orthopaedic because of excruciating nerve pain radiating from the lower lumbar. The medical assistants, and receptionist all were friendly, helpful and caring. Dr. Keogh came into the exam room shortly after my arrival and immediately I felt confident that I was in the right place to get help for this terrible pain. He was thorough in explaining the problem with my back. He showed me the MRI and pointed out every detail of my spine. He explained the diagnosis and prognosis. He patiently answered my wife’s and my many questions. I then went into the procedure room where I met another assistant who was delightful and encouraging as she prepared me for the injection of pain reliever and steroid. Soon after, Dr.Keogh entered and explained every part of the prep and actual injection. I wasn’t psychologically prepared for the sensations and pain that is a normal part of the injection. The Doctor had previously explained it all but it takes experience to actually know what to expect. He reassured me and encouraged me through every minute of the short time required to complete the injection of the medicine. He was absolutely amazing as he talked me through this experience with compassion, understanding and encouragement . Upon completing the procedure, Dr. Keogh exited and left me in the capable supervision of his assistant as I prepared to go home. I have felt some relief already just hours after the injection and I expect long-awaited relief in a day or two. Dr. Keogh is the epitome of a skilled, knowledgeable and compassionate doctor who is not governed by the amount of time spent with a patient. He is governed by the quality of time spent with a patient. This, in a world of doctors who breeze in and breeze out with only a few minutes to spend with each patient. I am grateful for Dr. Keogh!

Let’s start with the front staff. They made me feel comfortable. The medical assistant that took my vitals was professional and friendly. Doctor Avila is friendly, very thorough and helpful. My injection was painless. I would recommend this practice to my friends and family to anyone who has back pain issues.

Dr. Keogh and his crew were amazing. I had massive amounts of back pain and they worked to get my in as soon as possible. His staff is top notch. Then, when came time for my appointment, he really listened to how I was feeling and came up with a plan for recovery. 10/10 recommend! (bonus: they have great waiting room music 🙂 )

Today was my first visit and the entire team. Was great!! Dr. Keogh spent a great deal of time reviewing my situation and the process we were going to move forward it. It was a great experience!!

This was my first appointment with Dr Keogh and his staff. I highly recommend them. They are all caring, gentle, and Dr Keogh was very thorough in his assessment of my issues and plan to handle them.

Dr.Keogh was amazing! I was so nervous I didnt sleep a wink the night before he talk to me showed me my mri & completely walk me through the process. He has officially became my doctor with this issue.

I had my first visit today, and I was beyond impressed. The front office was welcoming. The doctor took his time explaining everything and answered all my questions. I'm looking forward to our treatment plan and being pain-free.
